Every big change starts with a small idea — and for May Gives Charity, that spark came in 2018 from an undergraduate student named May. Driven by a deep desire to give back to society, May realized that her dream could only become reality with the support of others. She shared her vision with her friends — many of whom were fellow students at the University of Lagos, Nigeria — and together, they decided to turn that idea into action.

With passion in their hearts and purpose in their minds, the team got to work. They pooled their resources, mapped out a structure, and assigned roles and responsibilities to ensure everyone could contribute meaningfully.

Their first major step was a visit to Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted Children. This outreach marked the beginning of something much bigger. The experience fuelled their drive to do more and over the years, May Gives Charity expanded its reach and impact. Through humanitarian, empowerment, educational and medical projects, the team’s unwavering determination became a force for good.

Collaboration became one of their greatest strengths. By forming partnerships with universities, professionals and local communities, May Gives Charity built a network of support that allowed them to reach more people and create lasting change. Each project became a reflection of their shared commitment to uplifting lives and fostering sustainable growth.

Today, May Gives Charity continues to be a story of hope, passion and purpose.
